All Day Breakfast at McDonalds

all day breakfast mcdonaldsI’m one of those people that loves breakfast and one of my favorite things to do with the kids is to have a ‘backwards day” when we have breakfast for dinner! I’m also known to order a breakfast sandwich for lunch at local coffee shops. So when McDonalds announced it was going to be offering Breakfast ALL DAY in select markets, I was very excited.

I’m not the only one, since over 120,000 tweeted to McDonald’s last year that they wanted breakfast all day! And McDonald’s listened. While breakfast typically ends at 10:30am at various McDonald’s franchise locations, the McDonald’s locations in New England now serve select breakfast items past 10:30am. Items like the:

  • Egg McMuffin
  • Sausage McMuffin with Egg
  • Sausage McMuffin
  • Hotcakes or Hotcakes with Sausage
  • Sausage Burrito
  • Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait
  • Fruit & Maple Oatmeal
  • Hash Browns

The Fruit items are especially great snacks on the go for the kids! And I like the breakfast sandwiches as they typically provide more protein, which is what I look for when I am hungry.

While it appears that the All Day Breakfast at McDonalds is limited to the New England market, if it does well, it may expand soon! Whether you live around New England or travel through it, enter to win a $20 McDonald’s gift card for the next time you get hungry! And if you live in the Boston area, check out this event on October 16th at City Hall Plaza.
