Do you ever wonder about getting a course on Skincare 101? Sometimes when I look in the mirror and see the wrath of wrinkles that are upon me, or the chin breakout (I mean, really, am I not old enough to be through with this skincare conundrum?) I wish I had a bit more skincare know-how.
RoC Skin Care
RoC® reached out to invite me into a paid campaign where I can learn about their skincare line and generally learn about skincare and beauty. RoC has an exclusive online resource that provides a behind-the-scenes look into skincare, and I’m looking forward to sharing what I learn this month with you.
As you know, this blog is about gathering, research, and finding out information about fashion, luxury, pampering, and beauty. And it is my current mission this month of March to delve deep into my dermis. Why does it do what it does? Why do I have wrinkles and a zit at the same time?
That being said, I am not a skincare newbie. I have a couple of tips up my sleeve that you can see in this video on how to get the most out of your skincare products.
I am not loyal (yet) to any one skincare brand, and to be honest, I have not met many women who are. Yet, in reading about RoC, I wonder about the brand itself, and what I have researched so far, has me intrigued.
RoC® has been around since 1957 and was named for a reputable Parisian pharmacy, called Rogé Cavailles, by pharmacist Dr.Jean-Charles Lissarrague. He also invented sunscreen and the first hypoallergenic skincare product. (Wow!) Today, RoC apparently has the most popular Retinol product on the market without a prescription. (Impressive, right?) Since Retinol’s effectiveness can be reduced with exposure to light and air, RoC’s packaging, unlike other brands, is designed to ensure that the Retinol is still as potent as when it went into the tube. (Nice!Stay tuned on that!) To learn about some of their RoC® products, see my post here. You can find RoC® products at Walgreens.
And the RoC® line has received some really impressive beauty and consumer awards.
So many questions! But what is your most frustrating skincare issue? Or what question do you have about skincare? Leave your questions below and I’ll make sure those questions are answered by RoC® itself in a followup post. Plus, anyone who asks a question, and follows me on Instagram, can be entered to win a basket of RoC® goodies valued over $100!
Time to spring ahead in our skincare! And stay tuned for a Twitter party later this month on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. ET, with a dermatologist on hand to answer skincare questions in real time. Now, I’m off to give the complimentary RoC® products I received a whirl and will let you know the real deal in the next post!
