If you are looking for an ice cream product that is soy free, dairy free, egg free, peanut free, almond free, cashew free, fish free, shellfish free, gluten free and kosher, you might think that you’ll have to keep looking. Unless you happen to stumble upon the new perfectly free™ frozen treats that are in select Boston stores.
At only 35 calories each, it is also a great product for those that choose to have a healthier lifestyle, but it is ideal for those with food allergies and sensitivities. According to the company, approximately 16 million households have at least one member in their home with a food allergy and on top of that, 33 million people eat like they have an allergy, and this product attempts to meet the needs of both of these consumers. They are bonbon sized bites found in select Star Markets, Big Y, Market Basket, Crosby’s and Donelan’s. With the ingredients and the great taste, I’m sure they will be expanding across markets rapidly!
There are four flavors: cherry, blueberry, salted caramel, and cocoa – all wrapped around a creamy vanilla core. While I fall into the category of choice rather than required food restrictions, the taste appeased even the members of my family (including myself) that enjoy regular ice cream. I like how rich was the flavor in each bonbon. While the product may be free of many ingredients, it is definitely not missing taste!
I like being able to indulge while putting the right things in my body, and this product meets the trifecta of awesomeness: yummy taste, good ingredients, few calories. Serve them at a kid party when your child’s friend cannot have ice cream, or serve four in a martini glass for a elegant dessert treat. Whatever your reason for buying them or however you decide to serve them, they are definitely worth a look (and several tastes!)
I received product for review, but I was not compensated for my opinion. Therefore my thoughts in this post are my honest review of the product.
