It has been a full month since I started taking the Fiber Choice Fruity Bites. I shared how I started, what was happening during the month and now I wanted to share a recap.

fiber choice fruity bites review

I chose to be a part of this compensated campaign because I liked how the Fiber Choice Fruity Bites, were, well, gummy. I cannot take horse pills anymore. I liked how I could chew these on my way out the door. Not too soft and not too waxy either. They tasted good – a good flavor, though a touch too sweet. But it wouldn’t deter me though. More so, how the fiber is 100% natural (not a chemical fiber), gluten free, and they didn’t have artificial colors or flavors. In fact, this is the ingredients list:

Inulin, sugar, water, pectin (found in apples), Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Natural Flavors (Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Pear), Natural Colors (Black Carrot, Annatto, Genipap Juice Concentrate, Watermelon Juice Concentrate), Vegetable Oil and Carnauba Wax.

I try to eat right. We belong to a local farm for fresh produce. I eat whole grains and fruit. But it is not enough. The best sources of soluble fiber are oats, dried beans and some fruits and vegetables. Although there is no dietary reference intake for insoluble or soluble fiber, many experts recommend a total dietary fiber intake of 25 to 30 grams per day with about one-fourth — 6 to 8 grams per day — coming from soluble fiber. Men need more than women.

Yet, even if you are doing better than most in getting your fiber from natural sources, you’re probably only about half way to the daily recommended amount. And having the proper amount of fiber in your diet helps curb your appetite for weight maintenance or weight loss (since you feel full), and helps with consistent digestion.

So even if the Fiber Choice brand is not right for you, at least consider adding a Fiber Supplement. Though as fiber supplements go, I was pleased with the Fiber Choice Fruity Bites, and I feel great after a month of using it. Now, its time to step up my fitness regime!

As I mentioned in my previous post, check out the Fiber Choice consumer challenge hosted on fiberchoice.com/consumerchallenge. Each week in September, five winners will be selected at random to win high-value coupons. At the end of the month, one participant will win a $500 prepaid gift card! Fun!

  1. Hi Charlene,
I want to thank you for your blog. I searched the website and even asked a pharmacist if Fiber Choice fruity bites were gluten free and was unable to get an answer. I have severe celiac and needed a fiber supplement but wanted to ensure it did not contain gluten, so thank you!

Anytime. Just a suggestion for the future, always call the company directly or check out the website directly for the product. They have to share the info there! Good luck!
