Camouflage is a big fashion trend for fall 2013. Yet, I am torn about this one. It can be tacky if you don’t pull it off correctly. Stay away from the true fatigues. Perhaps with my father and grandfather being in the military for so many years, I think it should be reserved for the people actually serving our country. However, there are some great pieces that are camouflage inspired that can be respectful and totally fashionable.
The Camo Flower Shoulder Purse retails for about $50 on Amazon. It is a cute piece that doesn’t break the bank. With a trend like this, it could be fleeting so you don’t want to spend too much on an trendy accessory like a handbag.
The scarf and skirt is a Christopher Kane piece. The Christopher Kane Camo Print Scarf retails for about $500. I think this is worth the investment because of the colors. It is more military ‘inspired’ so you could still use it for years to come as a graphic scarf with a lot of outfits. An alternative to the Chrisopher Kane skirt shown above is the dress. The colors make it less military and more graphic as well. It retails for about $600.

The flats are from Target at about $20 and the 3.1 Phillip Lim Stripe Pullover sweater is from Nordstrom for about $400. The sunnies are $29 from Guess.com and the belt is from Avenue32 and retails for about $165.
If your budget is limited on this trend, focus on the accessory pieces. Otherwise, invest in clothing pieces that can be stored and used again. So look for good designs and quality fabrics.
