Going to a blogging conference can be challenging when you don’t know what to wear! You want to be professional, but comfortable. Nothing is more accurate when you are talking about the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2014 in Disneyland!
This year I am going for the second time and, needless to say, I am beyond estatic. Yet, my excitement also has to do with the fact that I am going to Disneyland for the first time. I’ve been to Disney World close to 40 times, but not once to Disneyland. I have no idea what to expect or what it will be like, but I am excited to learn and explore all that Disneyland has to offer.
However, I will primarily be out there for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. It is an opportunity to connect and meet with fellow bloggers and Disney Social Media cast members, and learn about Disney efforts and initiatives. Which gets me back to the topic of what to wear! The discussion on this subject has already ensued in the #DisneySMMoms groups. While everyone has different styles, I thought I would take a crack at some fashion ideas and wardrobe concepts for anyone going to the 2014 #DisneySMMoms celebration in Disneyland!
This is an example of what to wear at the conference portion of the 4 day event. A simple and comfortable, yet classy and elegant, black jumpsuit is the base, which is the newest must-have closet addition. Then add a comfortable blazer for a professional look. Bright blue is a popular color for spring/summer 2014. Pair it with a bag to hold your laptop and business cards. Then add comfortable heels, and you are ready to rock. Bonus is that the jumpsuit can make a perfect transition to evening. Ditch the blazer and swap the heels out for strappy sandals for a great night time look.
This is an example of what to wear in the parks. There will be down time to explore so comfort is key, but you will be representing the blogging community. So on trend jeans, a nice t-shirt, and cute sneakers will be crisp and comfortable. Boyfriend jeans and sneakers are big for spring.
This last example is an outfit that is great for the family events. There is a brunch, a reception and a couple of family dinners. You want to be comfortable so you can manage the kids if they are coming with you, but yet still look polished. To keep the ‘I’m not trying too hard’ vibe’, pair a dress with nice sandals or flip flops (with a nice pedi!) A cardigan sweater is key for a chilly evening if you end up staying out to ride the rides until late at night. I went with the black and white look of this maxi dress as graphic B&W is a big trend this season.
So hopefully this helps give you some ideas on what to wear at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2014! Which look is your favorite?
I’m a casual gal, so I love the 2nd one! I may or may not have bought those same shoes in yellow for my own Donald Duck inspired outfit. 😉
that park day outfit is SO ME! I would love every piece! And that polkadot dress? LOVE!
