2014 Word of the Day and Year

I was thinking about doing a New Year’s wrap up post or even a New Year’s Resolution post, but then I came across my friend’s blog post on A Grande Life. Rather than a resolution or a remembrance, she decided on a word that she could live by in 2014. Something that you can see in your kitchen to keep you on track during the day, week and month. Or maybe a 2014 word of the day that will help you with a goal.

When I read her post, I wondered what my 2014 word would be. After thinking about it, I decided it would be “New.”

2014 word of the year

New friends, new adventures, new pursuits. A sort of ‘out with the old, in with the new” mantra. When I think about it, I started on this ‘new’ path in December when I realized I needed a change in my personal life and my professional life. I started with a new Twitter profile, new Pinterest profiles, new Google+ friends, and a new outlook on this blog (and soon a new logo too!)

So “New” seemed fitting and it will encourage me to try new things and do new things in 2014. What word will sum up your 2014?

Thanks for staying and reading my blog post!
