A really funky style trend this season are picture prints on clothing – otherwise known as photo prints.
You are probably wondering what I am talking about? Imagine taking a picture and making a skirt out of it, or having it built into the fiber of the fabric on a blouse.
You’ll see these style trends at popular retailers like H&M, JCPenney, and New York & Company at really affordable price points. Here are some fabulous examples:
You can also make similar items if you’re crafty. Head to a craft store like Michaels, and purchase transfer paper. Print out a favorite landscape picture onto the transfer paper. (Stay away from people or pets, think sunsets or flowers.) Buy a plain white t-shirt, a tote bag or pull out an old pair of plain shorts, and follow the directions to transfer the image to your item. Voila! A crafty way to follow fashion this summer.
Another retailer that has photo print clothing items is Anthropologie: great shoes, dresses, skirts and bags. Price point is higher than the items shown above, but the options are stunning.
All in all, it is a very unique style trend this summer, and now you can take the Hawaiian sunset with you wherever you go, (especially if you aren’t going to Hawaii.)
