The second Fashion and Beauty Week post is about a quick 30 second make-up routine. For work-at-home moms and stay-at-home moms, wearing makeup is not necessarily at the same priority as when working in an office. Nor is the amount of makeup. For working-moms, getting the kids ready for daycare, as well as yourself for work, leaves little time for makeup fuss too.
So here is my take on what you need to look fresh and put together, even if you are only seeing the delivery guy at the front door, or the check-out clerk at the grocery store.
I mentioned Jane Iredale as a product I like. Here is the link if you are interested in more information on that product brand.

Great post – and as a SAHM that doesn’t want to look like she rolled right out of bed, I’m gonna start this routine!

This is one of my favorite posts that you have done. I can not tell you the last time that I have put make up on. Some of the little tips that you suggested are great. However as I get older I feel that I have gotten lazier and less concerned with what I look lke. I need to find a good brand of make up that I am happy with and start some type of routine – even the days I work from home. What are your thoughts on origin products? I have not heard of the ones that you use but do not like to put lots of make up on each day.

Great tips. I have almost the same routine
As a WAHM, putting on some makeup gets me in the frame of mind of working.

Beth. There is a great book that I have always loved that gives the lowdown on all makeup products. It’s called “Don’t Go to the Makeup Counter without me” by Paula Begoun. But generally, if you like really light makeup, then natural mineral products are probably your best bet. Like Jane Iredale or Bare Escentuals.
