As a Massachusetts Mom blog, I like to write about stuff. Heck, the tag line of this site says as much. Yet, I love getting paid for my time too.

I love sharing things I find, thoughts I have, and experiences I encounter. Yet, some of those findings and experiences are my own discoveries, and sometimes it is brought to my attention by other people. Often those other people want to provide me with a free product or service, or want to pay me for my time or my space. Sometimes I am okay with that and sometimes I am not. Sometimes I am happy to share and sometimes I am not.

If you don’t see something on this site, it means one of two things: (1) I haven’t discovered it yet or (2) I discovered it, but I didn’t like it at all. If I did like it, it then has to fit with this site. For example, I may love a certain brand of lawnmower, but since I don’t write about, err, lawns, it wouldn’t make sense for me to share it with you. Or I may discover the lawnmower is a death trap, and then I wouldn’t want to write about it either.

So, if I decide to write about something, I want to be transparent about it. If I decide to do a giveaway, I want to let you know how I got it. So here are the legal thingy-ma-jigys that explain as much.

Contest/Giveaway Eligibility:

Any Contest or Giveaway I have on my site is open to all legal residents of the 50 United States including the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. The entry period for the Contest or Giveaway begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (ET) and ends at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time (ET) on the date provided in the respective post. Once a comment is validated, it will be approved. Only approved comments will be eligible for the contests and giveaways and is subject to the sole discretion of Charlene Chronicles.

Contest/Giveaway Winners:

The winner will be selected using a random generator through ‘And the Winner Is’ WordPress Plugin, Rafflecopter, Random.org or PromoSimple, and will be specifically stated in each giveaway post to which method is being used. The winner will be notified no later than one week after the contest end date described in the post. It is in the sole discretion of Charlene Chronicles to repost the contest if less than 5 people enter. If the winner is unable to be contacted within forty-eight hours, another winner will be chosen and so forth. By participating and/or accepting the prize, Entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and to accept decisions of Charlene Chronicles as final in all matters relating to the respective Contest or Giveaway.

Contest/Giveaway Rules:

Sample language for ‘And the Winner is” giveaway entries is as follows. It will be on each post until the end date of the giveaway in which case the giveaway language will be removed but can be reviewed here at all times. For Rafflecopter, Google, PromoSimple giveaway entries, disclosure language is the same, but will be stored via Rafflecopter.
